No, we are talking an Inline 6 (6 exhaust ports on one side), vs a V8 ( 4 exhaust ports left side, 4 exhaust ports right).

I do not believe that turbo exhaust manifolds for the 1UZ have been mass produced. Which means you can custom build them, or go remote mount. And anyways, do you have 1 turbo or 2? If you only have one, you may as well go with a remote mount. A little more lag, a lot less headache. And what are you doing for engine management? Fuel?

flip flip the manis so the face front, bolt em down, bend some piping and make a flange to get the kit going for now.

That's assuming that the bolt pattern is north south Symmetrical. More than likely there are more bolts on top then on bottom or vise verse.

And then you have clearance issues. Just flipping them probably won't fit In the engine bay. The amount of cutting and welding it would most likely be more feasable to just fab up some custom ones.

Mount 2 turbos in the rear, in place of the catalytic converters(Cats kill power on a turbo setup anyways). Run the oil lines down to them. Slightly more lag, without the headache.

im thinking about just going with a 1jzgte manual 6-speed swap now. . .less hassle? i was going to swap my tranny to a 5 speed with the w58 transmission. . but after its all done i think the whole motor swap would be more productive than even bother with the tranny swap and turbo.

yay or nay?

It is very expensive and complicated to swap a SC400. I'm not saying it's impossible, several people have done it, It's just easier if you start with a SC300, more feasable and cost effective.

For instance, Boost Logic quoted me roughly 15-20K to swap a JDM BPU++ engine I to my 400. Only after trying very hard to get me to sell my car for a 300.
