okay i was coming home from work today and i was on the freeway...im in 4th gear and i downshift to 3rd to slow down...suddenly my car turns off for a quick sec. and turns back on....i had this issue before couple months ago and now its back...what do you guys think it is?? im thinking its the batt. but does this experience happen to any of you guys?? would appreciate if i get some feed back. my car is a 94' 5 spd
yeah the battery terminal ends would be the easiest thing to check first... however if your charging system is operating and hooked up properly you wouldn't noticed a loose terminal until you go to start it and your battery would either start hard or be dead... and i think if its just the engine it could be the engine or body ground not having a good connection... connections are everything
No I tightened the hell out of them. Like Klaus said, watch to see if all of the dash lights go out when it cuts out. If they do then I would say it is most likely one of the terminals. If not it would be fuel/ignition related.
check the battery terminals, and check the fuse in the relay box. iirc its called am1, its the blue box fuse with a clear cover. ill conferm which fuse im talking about wen i get home from work.
