terrible decision on my part
A week ago there was a sc300 posted on craiglist in slc. There were no pictures and the guy said he was moving so he would take 900$ for his car. On the phone he made it sound like the interior was trashed. Stupid me did not take an hour out of my day to go and look at the car, so now i am hitting myself on the head.
The only reason I did not go look at the car is because i already have 2 sc's, wife's mazda, 4 runner, and my daily Ls400.

Here is the car now :

haha the cluster needles even work

That would of been a good deal, even has the cup holder, oh well live and learn.... everything happens for a reason who knows maybe another will pop up with black interior
Dang, if I knew it was in that good of shape, I would've flown out there and picked it up. It's hard to beat an SC under $1,000. If only I could get a MKIV Supra or Z32 300zx that cheap...
I called him and he told me he sold it to that dealership because no one else would buy on short notice, keep in mind i live in salt lake city where there is no market for coupes comparatively speaking. He said the interior needed work and it showed signs of being 20 years old. I just did not think twice because a lot of "NON" Lexus fanatics interiors go to *****. oh well you live and learn. I am thinking about calling the dealership and telling them i will double what they bought it for. I am guessing they paid no more than 750.

wow...but you had no way of knowing at the time. if that would of been me, I would of asked him to snap a quick few pics with his cell and send to me. but hey, it's water under the bridge now.
No way the dealer has done anything to it. first: the car was posted under dealers name the day after I spoke with him. Second: The carpets are not even shampooed, I do not think a dealer is going to go through all of that trouble with hard to find interior parts and not even pay there little shop guy 8$ an hour to shampoo the carpets.
