Exclamation Strange question...

Okay, I’ve taken my entire center console apart to repaint it (just the ash tray, and plastic around shifter). I want to do a clean job, so does anybody know how to remove the “PRND2L” plastic part that is for the shifter. I see the clips attaching it to the console piece but do not know how to safely remove them without breaking them off.

Thanks!

These are the PRN... “buttons” and I need them removed from the rest of the console piece.

Here a picture of the PRND2L strip from behind, I need this strip removed properly (as you can see I’ve already chipped a piece off)

Did you remove the shift ****? Pull the bottom part of the **** down and you should see 2 Phillips screws. Then you can pop off the shifter plate and remove the plugs underneath.

Sorry, I may need to edit my post. I’ve already removed that part, I just need to know how to get the actual PNRD2L “buttons” off. I’ll throw in some pics to clarify.

With a heated knife or similar you can put that apart but after that you will need to put some plastic again or glue it. With a drill you can take it apart too, but there´s more room to mess up something.
