Anyone have any guidance on removing the transfer case? I have looked and have found little on the subject. I think I do not have to remove the trans, but do I have to remove the H-N-L lever, etc.?
AliSC3 has done it: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/gx-...ld-thread.html
I'm sure you would have to unbolt the shifter, unplug all the electrics, remove the driveshafts, then unbolt the t-case. Maybe Ali will chime in as he has actually done it.
I would pull the boot, remove the snap ring, then cut the neck off a balloon and snap it around the remaining shift bezel to prevent stuff from falling in the case.
