Default Cleaning windshield question ? ...

Doe this happen to anyone else or is it just me ...

I am driving windows down, music cranked and suddenly splat ... big bug on my window ... so I go to wash the window and what happens ? ... water comes flying in my drivers side window ...

Any fixes for this ? ... would new nozzles fix this ? ... Shorter wiper arms ? ...

I hate to roll the windows up and hate the look of those window flares ...

What are some other options ? ...

or

Is this just another one of those ... you know you own an sc300 when water comes flying in your window after cleaning them ...

That happens to me too! I can't stand it to be honest. The JDM window visors may help. Also, nozzles from a newer Lexus might help.

lawl....

Try taking a needle and sticking it inside the little holes in the nozzle, you should be able to then move the pin and adjust the spray pattern to aim it over more.

lmao I use to hate that. I would roll up the windows clean them wait a second then put them back down. Or just watch how much you spray at a time

Don't like my car getting dirty, haven't used the washer fluid since I've had the car; been about 18 months now. Not even sure if it still works or not, haha. I just wait until I'm parked to clean any splatters.

Drive faster : p lol I got window flares(I know you hate them) but they work just enough to were maybe a drop gets in when its raining. Personally I never even use my wipers for bugs, I wait till I get home and Windex that poor sucker off.

That's what I do. I rarely ever use my windshield wipers anyway.

Thanx all for the comments ...

I live in the mountains ... So windshield washers at intersections not an option ... Also the bug splatter can get quite thick sometimes ... so can't always wait until I get home or to a gas station to give them a good wipe down ...

I will try the pin thing or look into upgrading the nozzles at some point ... for now I will just concede and roll the windows up ... just didn't want to prematurely wear down the window motors ...

Any thoughts on if the shorter wiper arms would work ? ...

I dont see why shorter wiper arms would work. They're still moving the water to your side of the car and the wind pattern is still the same. Plus what if you do get smaller ones, and the bug happens to splat out of the new "shorter" arms' range.

Ashtray ... Good point ...

It just seems to blow in on the top portion of my window ... thats why I thought shorter arms might help ...

So my only options seem to be roll em up ... wait to clean them when I stop ... or try the adjusting or changing the nozzles themselves ? ...
