ugh, MAF cleaning
So yesterday while working on my IS300, (radiator/clean throttle body and maf).. I decided to clean my MAF on the SC400. I cleaned it with the correct CRC MAF cleaner, I put it back in and started it up and the CEL came on. I thought it came on because I didnt unplug the battery to reset ecu. I did that to the IS300 and no codes came on. The code was on and after warmed up it had a up and down idle +/- 100rpms.
Well, today I decided to re-do it and this time disconnect battery so it would reset the ECU...still... CEL came on again!
I read some folks just wait a couple days til the ecu readjust itself and it went away... is that possible? Does autozone still offer free code scanning for OBDI? (1994)

Also, is there a write up on this? I don't want to mess anything up, I couldn't find one either except for a 95/96.

you can pull the cel code by jumping te1 and e1 in the diagnostic port under the hood
