Spend the 100 buck at Lextech. They offer lifetime guarantee and do a very fast turn around. Well worth the money IMO.

Yes they are size 24 for the backlighting, and they are 8 of them.

Try to put the dimmer at the lowest and in a few hours look if they are working.
If they work that way you must clean them and then you´ll have your needles back to life. It´s free. Hope it helps.

I second the Lextech suggestion. I've only seen someone replace the needles once on their own, so I'm guessing it's pretty tough.

if you think your handy enough give it a try. I like fixing stuff myself, especially on my sc400 which im going to keep forever. So why not just get to know it inside and out.

Clusters from the junkyard along with Ac units have been in the sun constantly and will probably be worse. Check the DIY on cluster removal and lighting changes. If cleaning them doesn't work, just go with Lextech.
