it's for an IS300. not a sc300??!?

also, my SC300 has VVTI, does it mean that turbo kit would work fine

Hmmm, Anyone have any guesses on how high you could BPU up to with the stage 1 kit?

I have been told that the IS300 has a different head than the one that is on our engines, So I dont think it would fit even with the vvti.

Something would need to be done about that issue with IS/SC exhaust manifold. But I would not expect that to be a real problem. Contact with SRT is in order on that one. I would be interested in more detail on the exhaust manifold itself. The price on these things is low, and that is good but quality may be the issue. I am not too impressed with the multiple joints on the intake to the throttle body. I supposed that could be replaced with solid pipe. I'm going to do some more digging.

It seems that this kit has been designed for VVTI obdII vehicles. From what I understand.

I have no idea how high the boost can go on these - stage 1 and 2 do not seem like much. I would guess that the next levels allow for additional equipment to make it safer for increasing the boost. Those joints on the piping and the number of them give a lot of places for a boost leak. The fuel issues would be if the 440cc injectors are enough to run up to or greater than 10 to 18 lbs of boost. I think our cars 350cc injectors stock. We would want a higher capacity pump and fuel pressure regulator too for upping the boost. I would guess the stage 1 safely runs 6 to 8 lbs. on stock compression.

I'm not too sure this is such a great deal as the turbo has a closed loop racegate. Correct me if I am wrong but that means it has an internal wastegate correct? An external wastegate is what we would be looking for. Also at 19,000$ installed at SRT for only about 500hp. For about 7 grand installed we could have a Toyomoto or F-max set-up that could be easily massaged to 500 hp without spending another 12k$.

No doubt the toyomoto is better if your looking for big hp #'s, but for us wit little cash who want to make our car faster (without making it a monster), I think for 4,000$ it shows promise. Not to mention the install looks like it would be considerably less than the toyomoto.

I think our cars 350cc injectors stock.

The shop manual actually gives a huge range for the stock injectors 280cc-352cc, which averages to 315cc/min. And it allows for a difference between injectors of 36cc/min.

the_ez_rhino I agree. Some of us would really like an alternative to the toyomoto monster.

and easy installation sounds good to me also!

It's nice to see someone put out a Turbo kit that doesn't cost an arm and leg...basically, one that isn't overpriced...

I wonder if there's a reason why their intake pipe is in so many parts...Clint, is there any advantage to this or just easy from a manufacturing standpoint (that's what I'm thinking)

No real advantage, looks like they just trimmed some mandrel bends to make the fit. It looks like that lower pipe hits the intake pipe and it being pushed out where it hinges with that Silicon hump hose. I prefer to keep my Silicon to a minimum. Perhaps this is just a prototype setup.

My is '97 but has VVTI.
I sure hope it can apply to mine.
