Default What's a good 2nd lexus

hey i know im still kinda new to the lexus scene
i got my sc300 a while ago and i love it
but now i need a second car and im looking @ lexus again
i had my eyes on either an is300 or gs300 (2nd gen probably)
i love the is300 but ive heard good things about the gs too
also the IS is abit more expensive and its hard to find 5-speeds
but then again GS's are all autos
let me know what you think
its guna be a lil before id get it but hey thinking bout it now

What's your budget? I would personally go for a LS430 because I love how they look with just a drop and wheels

lol i knew this would come up
the sc is amazing in my opinion its the best lexus made
i just want something different you know
would be good to have a sedan
plus V8s are great but I6s are the best engines in my mind
especially the 2jz
if i got a is300 id do the same thing im doing with my sc300:
NA-T/r154

i had an 01 gs300 for a while and loved it as well..i like the body style a lot more then the is300..im not a fan of the greenish color for the clusters but other then that i really liked the car..i do enjoy the sc3 more because its sportier and a coupe and thats what i wanted..but the gs300 is a great car as well..and if i wanted a 4door id definitely pick that vs anything else in that price bracket..not to mention the gs3's are super cheap..ive seen the 2nd gen's go as cheap as 6k too

Get a 2GS. You won't regret it.

Agreed 100%

The ls430 is one of the most beautiful cars on the road------i cant wait to get one---

Its not a question of if I will get one---just a matter of how long will it take me to get one.

If you got the money there is no question here---ls430 all the way.

Good luck

not many people have 5/6 speed 2gs, if you want to know about turboing a 2gs read jeff's post he knows a LOT of 2gs info

ok thanks ill look at it
yeah well the thing about that is i just think the potential 2jz is wasted with an auto
i always say one of toyotas biggest mistakes was puting the w58 on it instead of the r154...but thats another subject
i like the 2gs but if itd be too much work to match up a r154 or even a v160/1 to it id rather shell out the extra cash and get a 5-speed is300 and just throw a r154 on it

i still cant believe nobody has support for the IS

you already have a SC so why not go with something a little less sporty and larger?
