IS300 is nice and all, but I would go for a GS3 if I were you cause you already have a SC3 so you can do all the crazy horsepower mod on that while having a GS3 that can have 4 six foot tall people sitting comfortably cruising around town. IS300 is kinda tight in the back. Just my $0.02.

yeah thats what im going for with a gs/is looking at a sedan
the gs in my eyes is alot less sporty
i know yall like the LS but to me it just dont got that appeal

i appreciate it man
i really do see the gs3's appeal
how much power do you think you can get out of one safely on the auto tranny
plus with my sc3 im looking for around 500-600hp until i feel like pulling it out and doing a 3.4 stroker on it
yeah go ahead gimme the crap for stroking a 2jz-ge lol

You may want to reconsider LS in my opinion if you're in the 10k and higher budget.

My friend has a 95 and I feel like the president riding in the back with 5% tint on the windows. The LS is the baddest Lexus in terms of Luxury.

I am a big fan of both the 2GS and the IS. That's a tough decision. It really would depend on the direction you plan on taking the car style wise.

Its not a question of if I will get one---just a matter of how long will it take me to get one.

If you got the money there is no question here---ls430 all the way.

Good luck
I agree with you on that. The original LS400 was sweet, but the LS430 is probably the best Lexus to come out after 2000. It's so presidential looking once you get 5% tint, wheels, and a drop. You can't go wrong with any of the three cars to be honest.

I see IS300 that are turbo all the time since you can get a 5-speed. If you're set on boost, I'd go with it unless you can get a transmission swap on the GS. You could also buy an NA MKIV Supra in your price range.

all good advice thanks
but just something for the GS, didnt the Aristo come turboed on an auto
cause i am very set on NA-T
A MKIV would be sweet but theyre are none around where i live id have to like take leave and fly down to florida or something and drive it back
which wouldnt be bad i suppose but itd have to be just the right one
targa top, stock, lowish miles, well maintain, you get the recipe

in that case you can swap in a r154 or a built auto..both will be bout the same price when all said and done and support about the same whp 600+

which would you suggest say i went with the 2GS
ok i see that the built auto would be more reasonable
alot less work wouldnt have to cut anything
i know theres probably more to it then this but basically plug n play
now the down side still an auto

now im looking @ the r154
alot more work, gota cut the firewall put in extra pedal, slave cylinder, ect.
probably custom mounts
alot more of a pain in the @$$ but i get a 5-speed Aristo out of it

yea pretty much what you said..the built auto is just put it in and go..nothing special
the down side you cant even manually switch gears..well you can but i hear its bad for it..

me personally with my sc3 i think i plan to go this route...this is a dd for me so i dont want a lot of down time..dont feel like the hassle of all the extra's you need to install it..also have to extend the shifter..different drive shaft change ecu cluster (to do it right of course) etc..quite a bit of stuff that id rather not do

being as this is a sedan for you..id say go with the auto and leave the sc3 to more of a fast car with 5spd etc..but thats just my opinion

yeah my SC3 is already a 5speed which is good cause im planning on going r154 with it as soon as the w58 goes
it is also my daily so im getting all the parts i need and guna have it put together before that fateful day ive done my research on that
and besides to me the SC3 is the best lexus they ever made so whatever i do end up getting in my eyes would be a step down (except a MKIV )

It'd be hard to find a low mileage NA. For some reason, people beat them up and repaint them in funky colors like bright orange or green. However, the TT's are usually in good condition.

I've seen a lot of more boosted IS' around than GS'. You might want to go with an IS or Supra TT in this case.
