Hey CL members, I have been looking to purchase some chrome emblems for my car. So far I have not been able to find to many people selling them. From what I have heard the ebay ones are not very reliable(wrong sizes, and poorly made). What do you guys think about Lextasy.com emblems? Are they overpriced or is that the normal price? http://www.lextasy.com/chrome_lexus_..._1349_prd1.htm Also is it only the L's that have pins or do the words also have pins? Is anyone on here selling some chrome emblems? I probably am just going to buy the L's unless the place where the words were is very noticeable when i take them off. Let me know what you all think, thanks

I take it you have the gold emblems now? Cause there is a very simple DIY write up here on the forums somewhere that tells you how to make the gold emblems silver.

I'm pretty sure everything has pins. The price is normal for brand new emblems.
You may find a better price for used but they will be 10+ years old.

Thanks guys, yah i do have gold emblems, so i will probably go with that DIY gold to silver, i read it, and my dad says we will give a try, thanks

Buy them from members, it's much cheaper, and they're nicer people =)
I tried the DIY and i ended up getting a brushed nickel look....i lack polishing skills...

One guy offered to sell, but he only had sc300 emblems, but we will see how the DIY turns out. I don't think my dad has ever done this exact thing before, but he know just about everything there is to know about a car(he's a used car dealer), so i think we will be able to make these emblems look great!

You might want to try going to a body shop and asking if they have any extra emblems laying around. When I got my taillights painted at a local body shop, the guy gave me a free set of brand new chrome emblems off of a new Lexus. I originally had the gold ones, but they were faded and cost too much to replace.
