I removed the lock thing from my tan piece, and stuck it into the black piece. Prior to me JB Welding the rectangular gas lid/trunk/key hole thing in everything worked fine.
Wtf? Its not a fuse, obviously because the gas door opens. The plugs are in correctly, everything was fine until I messed with the locks. Heres the kicker, my key doesn't work for the trunk, nor does it work for the valet lock deal. It only works for the ignition. The valet thing doesn't appear to be pushed in/activated.
Hopefully this makes some sense...? I've never in my life had so many stupid *** problems working on any car.
The key for the ignition is not the same as the key for the trunk is how it came on some SC years. Also double checked your keyhole to make sure its not locked this can be unlocked with the same key as the ignition but is not the same key for the actual trunk keyhole
just maybe, but my previous SC did the same thing to a certain extent. but id play with it like a trick window switch and it'd work sometimes. if it failed i always used the key but i know you said yours doesnt work. i guess trying to pull hard or snap up the switch would be your best bet. good luck.
take off the bottom panel unplug the switch to the trunk opening switch get a paperclip stick one side on each side of black and blue wire plug...(pretty much making the black and blue wire touch) wa la...trunk should open...
Figured it out. I need to make a little DIY so other people who fall in the same situation can figure it out. Took 3 days of searching, and more time messing with it, but I fixed it.
^ Nice, damn reminds me I need to make some spare keys and fix my trunk lock, gets loose after driving over bumps or w/e and I can open it by just pulling it -___-
