Default springs....supra TT or Eibach?

Since I'm getting my 18" Blitz Z2 rims soon, i know i am going to have to drop the car for it to look right. I was wondering what owuld the bestsprings be and which would give me the best drop the Supra TT springs or Eibach?

From what I've learned on this board, the TT springs are going to give you no more than a 0.5 inch drop, where the Eibach's are supposed to lower your car by somewhere between 1.2 - 1.5 inches.
Still, I just decided a few days ago that it's gonna be the TT springs (and shocks) for me. First of all, I don't want that much of a drop, and second I like the idea of having shocks and springs that were actually designed to match each other. I guess that's something you'll only get from a OEM combo or a set of coilovers.

Well I think you have 2 options:

[1] buy Supra TT Eibach Prokits which drops your car 1.3" in the front & 1" in the rear and get a set of KYB AGX adjustables

[2] buy SC300/400 Eibach springs which will only drop you 1" all around. Tokico's work best with these springs but too bad they're on backorder =(

I'm going to go with #1, even though the ride isn't as good as #2 i've heard, I still like the setup.

Let me know which route you take, I would be able to get it for you.

I got the Prokits and Tokicos for the SC at 1st I didnt think it was low enough but now after they settled a bit, I think its jsut right. I also have 19in wheels. When I pull next to a stock SC there is a big difference.

Where are you guys getting the Eibach Supra TT prokit springs cheapest? I recall the SC400 prokit costs $350 or so (best price). Is there a CL vendor that offers springs for less? Does Steve Ganz carry Eibach prokits for less? Since I'm on a very thin budget at the moment, this will probably be my next mod.

Hey lex400sc,

I can get the Prokits for the Supra TT pretty cheap. My buddy owns a shop and I'm gonna buy them through him. PM me or email me if you're interested...I'll hook you up

the tokicos should work fine, i think. i don't have experience in lowering sc's though...heh. don't listen to me

But as far as used springs go, there's nothing wrong with buying used springs as long as the previous owner(s) never abused them, cut them, heated and compressed them, etc. I would definitely buy used if I found a good deal. I'm just not in the market right now. I had used springs on my old car and a few of my friends have used springs also...no problems.
