I purchased my set of custom brackets for my SC from Wedge Engineering (Supra part number modified to sit 1.5" higher). The brackets allowed me to bolt up a set of Recaros with no problem. I had to add a spacer rail because with the stock supra mount I was sitting too low. Think I paid about $400. They are quality pieces and I recommend dealing with Wendell at Wedge Engineering. I have pics in the gallery. Hope that helps.
$400. Hmm, i am also looking at a wedge engineering seat bracket, but for only $100. was 400 for both brackets?
Also, i have a friend who has buddy club seats mounted on wedge brackets in his 240, and they definatley sit high. I am a bit confused because there are mixed responses. I am 6'2 and with a helmet 6'4, so low seat brackets are a must for me.
OEM Supra seats on OEM brackets will sit low in an SC. However, because you are pretty tall it shouldn't be a problem. I am 5'9" so it was too low for me. It all depends on what seat you intend to use in the SC. I used Recaro seats out of a Mitsubishi EVO. I believe that the brackets and sliders are sold separately from Wedge, and with so with the extra height adjustment bracket and shipping to HI, everything came out to around 400.
