ok so yesterday i went to brake masters to get an oil change. after i came home and parked it for the night. This morning i got up to go get gas and my power steering isnt working.
I added some fluid cause i thought i was low. and when i started the car the fluid rose and started leaking from the cap area. I also noticed that the fluid was brown and not clear.
Im a noob at this and have no clue whats going on. Did brake masters mess my car up?
Was there any puddle on the ground below where the car was parked overnight? Maybe they tweaked a PS hose or something and it leaked out overnight causing it to NOT work in the morning. When you added more, it could have already been full of air from having not been bled after having drained, so it foamed up and out the cap like it will under those circumstances.
you can try to poke a hole in power steering reservoir. i know there is a screen down there to protect dirt from getting in. thats what i did to my car.
yea its ghetto way to fix it. or maybe you have a bad power steering pump?
