I don't mind at all. always good to have more than one option and opinion.
Alright, heres a set of headlights i did for my brother. Wet sanding, then compound buffing and waxing. They came out like brand new again.

I think wet sanding and polishing with compound is still the best way to restore headlights. I have used plast-x and the one similar to it by blue magic, they work great but never last as long as when i wet sand and buff and wax.
The final step is a sealer. It gives you a new UV protection layer and is also basically a clear coat. Im not sure about spraying a urethane clear, whether it would help harm or just give you a shiny surface.
hahah thanks ya i did the same for my headlights and its been good for over a year already. It does get yellow at times and all i do is run it again really quick with the compound or just simply clay bar my headlights and its like new again. hahaha
They look great! That's probably one of the best kits I've seen. I wet sanded my headlight back in April and they still look new. All of the local SC guys were blown away by my "new" headlights. I just did a Supra's headlights yesterday and it came out pretty good. Where did you get that kit at? I've been having people at work ask me about how to clean headlights and I don't want to give them a giant list of stuff to buy.
reminds me of the 3M kit they sell out there. Looks good! Still nothing beats wet sanding followed by machine/hand buffing with compound though. I would post some pics of the restorations ive done but I dont wanna be thread jacking unless you don't mind
Yep- my girlfriend's 04 TSX had badly clouded and pitted headlights. My process:
2000 grit wetsand
3M rubbing compound
Hand buff with pad
Check if more sanding is needed
Reapply 3M rubbing compound
Hand buff again
Apply plastx
Machine buff
Looked like brand new headlights after. Also this process works way better with the headlights out of the car. If you are going to machine buff be very careful on the edges of your lights so that you don't burn through- also depending on the power of your buffer don't stay in one place too long as the plastic burns easily.
