Default Tail light opinion Question(?)

Looking at my car after I gave it a bath today, I couldn't help but stare at my tail lights. To me, these things stick out like a sore thumb. I can't decide if I want 97' tails (which I would disassemble and black out the chrome trims), take my 96' tails apart and do the red clear trick (there's an old write-up on it from 02'), or tint them like "JDMuscle" did. What would you guys suggest?

The orange sticks out the most, and in my opinion, clashes with the color of the car.

I'd keep them the way they are. I have the same ones on my 94 SC. I think it is one of the best mods I have. They look the most JDM to me. I don't like the 92-94 tails or the 97-00 tails. I think these are best. Blacking them out may look nice, but I personally wouldn't black out these tails since a lot of people want them. I would buy a set of 92-94 tails and black those out instead and sell these to get some decent money if they are in mint condition.

Oh yeah, btw. GIMME YOUR WHEELS! I WANT!

Thanks. The wheels are 97'-98' polished, I might sell them in a couple months actually.

I think the best bet would be to go with 97+ tails. Clearing out the bottom of yours and then maybe smoking them a little would look good as well.

If you do decide to do the red white mod. Make sire you have time on your hands amd you clean up very very nicely. Sometimes the tailights tend to brake and stuff. But i did the red white mod and really like it . Plus no one has it . And if you do do it then just smoke the red part a little

NO WAY. Red and smoke, or all red or even red and white annihilate the stock tails, even the 97+ ones.

I don't know how you guys don't think that.

They are so shiny! Most people's TT wheels are scratched up and only have shiny center caps, but yours actually look new. I would gladly buy them off of you whenever you're ready to sell them.

That would look pretty good.

I think they look fine as they are now, but you really can't go wrong with whichever route you choose to go.

Those taillight are super fragile. If you decide to clear them out, be very careful!

Thanks everybody, luckily this car gets driven maybe once a week, so if I decide to take them apart I can take my sweet time. Nate, I knew it was a good idea buying shiny rims from a black guy

Ahh fk me.... another taillight thread.

This one however could lead to disaster if you do anything at all because it's perfect already and you're bored.
