I've had all three and ended with the 97+...IMO the cleanest look!!!The 95-96 were ok for a JDM look but, looked like any other S14.

These tails look fine stock. They also would look great if cleared out the bottom and you could smoke them too. The only taillight I would completely blackout would be the 92-94's since you can do more with those. 97's will make the car look newer and the chrome would match with your polished TT wheels.

I like the 97+ tails but would prefer the 95-96 on my car. Clear them out and change em to leds

Try this to help you decide what to do...

Have someone you trust with your car drive during the day and at night time, follow it on another car. Just drive around your area, few exits on the highway/expressway or what ever way. What you will be looking for is how you like the looks of your car while the lights are on, signal lights, parking lights, brakes etc... And if then you are not satisfied with how your car looks, then try any of the ideas you mentioned earlier.

Swap out the orange reflector and make yourself some custom clear ones if it really bothers you. I like your car with the 95-96 lamps

I second this idea! I wish I had done this. It'll give you a better idea of what kind of taillights you should get.
