Default Water in oil? Head gasket replace procedure please

Not overheating but my oil is a little milky (sp). A couple of bubles come up out of radiator cap. I am loosing coolant, I think I have a hole in my radiator. When I came home the other night my radiator cap was whistling and i think my radiator was leaking. it was hard to see. Temperature guage didn't get above 3/4 when it was spraying out. If I add water and take it around the block it won't get above half way on guage. Oil cap is a little light brown milky and dip stick only has a trace at the top of stick of the same milkey color light brown. No smoke out of tail pipe though.

Can anyone confirm I need to replace head gasket? The average time this takes, possibly some pictures, and any advice.

Thank you

Sounds like a blown headgasket.....you need to stop driving it right away before that milky oil kills your bearings......and if your a novice, I'd avoid trying to replace the headgasket yourself.

Ok so here you go.

Make sure ur at TDC before u do anything also u can mark ur timmi g belt

1) disconect the batt.
2)Take off the upper intake along with the tb
3) drain the coolant
4) unbolt the headers
5) pull ur harm balancer of along with serp
6) unbolt the timming covers
7) unbolt the tensioner
8) pull belt off replace if needed
9) unbolt vaulve covers
10) unbolt ur cam caps
11) pull of ur rear heater Hose
12) unbolt the head and remove.
13) when reinstalling make sure you torque ur headbolts to spec. If I recall correctly it should be about 70lb of tq.

I wouldn't worry about replaceing the bolts due to streaching unless ur TT. These ge motors won't make enough power to lift the head.

This is just a quick overview of what is needed. Good luck.

Don't worry it's cake. Very easy to replace.

Don't worry. It seems like a big job. But that's why I love the 2 jz. Simple and easy to work on.

Best thing u can do is be patient and do it right the first time.
