Default AC not working! please help

I have a 2000 SC300 When I turn the air conditioning on, it doesnt blow cold and the light above the AC button flashes while it's on. Does the AC just need to be recharged, or is it something else?
Thanx for any help

I had that same problem and I brought the car to my garage. They said I need a new A/C compressor. If you haven't change the A/C compressor since 2000 it could be that.

A/c Relay prob (I think its Behind the radio but I could be wrong.I know the ES300/330 is - Pretty sure its Not a compressor.thats Normally what happens when the light flashes but...worst case senerio Compressor LAST.

Relay Not telling the compressor to turn on.how many miles any more info?? Was it working and then all of a sudden it stopped??Had the a/c Serviced or Need it serviced at all since you've owned it.Hows the site glass??

Mine is doing the same. When I get my "new" climate control thing installed I will attempt to fix my blinky A/C light. Sunday I will be messing with it.

Start debugging in this order:
Relay,
Receiver/Dryer (In the fender)
Condenser,
Charge.

If all else fails Compressor, charge and a beer.

Great information! I recently had a slow leak from an old dried out o-ring in the a/c lines located under the water heater valve.

it's more than likely the relay. It's A/C relay season here at work, check that first.

What's the best way / way to check if it is the relay or not (apart from buying a new one obviously)?

just swap it with one that's similar to it.
