245 on the rears will be thick and "bubblie"
Tighter the tire, the better "tha Drift y0!"

Your car though.Do what you like.

Its normal intention is to fit a really wide LOW Offset wheel, and the tire Streched will allow it to clear the fenders which normally Need to be rolled.
Low offset + Wide wheel= Strech Tire for Fitment.
Some cars now just want the look and the offsets are only +35 and up and NO Need what-so-ever for a strech.
This would not be necessary with the correct offset wheels which has everything to do with correct fitment. 315s can be fit under a stock body sc or supra with the correct wheels and tires. Stretching is unnecessary and detrimental to the safety and longevity of the tire.

I am doing a 225/40 up front on a 18x10 and a 245/40 (not a stretch) on the rear 18x10 but I just ate a big *** curb this morning............ UGHHHHHHHHHHH.......... and the front right wheel is half rashed all around. (angry still)

I've crammed a 17x11.5 w/a 315/35 on the rear of my supra but still needed a roll and was actually a tad streched. what he's asking is what will give a streched look on his wheels he has.not the correct tire size for that wheel.

My sc now has 18x10.5 running a 245/40 federal and there's only a tad streched on it.fedddys run wide anyway.235 would have fit better and require less roll & pull then ivwill have to do.

I know that he's asking for tire sizes so that he can get a stretched look... I am giving him the correct sizes for his wheel width as the stretched look means your tire is too small if you get my point . Tires are a piece of safety equipment and have a significant impact on the function, performance, and safety of the car especially for a car that sees public roads. There is no valid reason for doing it on a street car. Just like having a roll cage in a car you drive without a helmet.

As for the look, eh. I guess stretched tires are the car equivalent of girl jeans.... some guys like wearing em doesn't mean that they don't look... eh never mind I'm out haha.

after you get your tires and do your stretch you need about 57 vinyl decals/stickers. they're just as retarded. buy the right wheels

its the biggest moron challenge; the more stretch you have, the more JdM tYtE you are + street cred from all the ricers

big fat meaty tires on wide wheels is the only way to go. Im thinking of putting 315s on my 18x10 rears since my current 275 have a slight stretch that really bothers me.
