Default Issues with your SC

Ok guys,

I can search and find many of issues with the SC's but, what are some of the most common issues to watch for on these cars?

Example, Honduh rust. Ford Explorer rust, and so on so forth. What are the weak links on these cars, what are the things to watch for.

Too many to list. My '89 Suburban has been more reliable than my SC.

Don't listen to them, SC is a very reliable car. Obviously it will have issues if you don't keep up with maintenance, since nothing under the sun lasts forever.

Being too awesome..............that's about it.

This is my 2nd SC3 and haven't had any major problems other than normal things you have to deal with on older vehicles. Things such as: leather deteriorating, replace bushings, normal maintenance items.

Just don't buy a car someone left out in the sun and neglected to take care of.

+1, saw a couple where I just looked at the owner going

It'll be pretty easy to tell if a car has been treated properly, just take your time and check EVERYTHING that comes to mind.

burnt clutch, climate control lighting issues, bad leather, bad gas mileage, popping door hinges that now have its own set of issues after removing the bolt.

not really that bad. All replaceble. The car is great for being a 93. *knock on wood*

One major complaint would be cost of parts. I am finding that you simply can't go to the local auto parts store. Especially for something simple as e-brake parts.

I mean, really, outside of pads and rotors, you can't get brake parts. Or control arms and etc. Frustrating, when the dealer is so proud of the parts.
