Default Thinking about selling my SC

So this dark question was brought up today. I was thinking about selling my SC300. The thing is that it's a l6 and eats gas like crazy. I can't afford adding so much gas in all the time. I was thinking about selling for maybe 3-4k and getting a Honda or something. Any thoughts? It's mostly about financial issues. I'm still in high school and no one is hiring for a job. I love the car though.

If you cant afford the gas .. you probly cant afford the mods as well. Hondas are great I use to use them as dailys. CHEAP to MOD. Sell the car if your having financial issues and when things get better go and buy the SC300 as your 2nd car you will drive it less so less gas money. I drove a 92 MR2 and 98 INTEGRA in highschool. 30mpg easy =P

Im still in love with Honda EK Hatches.. I want one still to this day. Good luck

IMO I would go for the 240sx. RWD is the way to go.

Get a Honda CRX HF. They get great gas mileage, if you can find one.

If you want a civic hatch back gas saver.. get the 92-95 Civic Hatch VX yes you heard me VX gets 40-45mpg. I had one last year before I sold it. Make sure its a D15Z1 motor. It kicks any hybrid *** because you can get it for 3grand~ and I averaged 40mpg in it. Rare find tho.

what kind of gas mileage are you averaging to be pushed to this point? I get excellent mpg's even na-t...you want good gas mileage get a Prius, atleast you get a small write off on your taxes. you want a car that has a bit of luxury, looks good, and has decent performance in stock form, stick with your SC. A 240sx believe it or not isnt going to yield much better mpg over your SC, and the itch to modify is still there.

Sell it, and when you will have better financial situation get 97+ SC. It's better to take girls out and have $$$ than sit at home with SC lol.

I wouldn't sell it man. Any Honda you can afford for the same money probably isn't as good as your SC, just stick it out and try hard to make ends meet w/ your great car.

i guess i can try to stick with it. but it's really annoying to see how all my friend's hondas lose little gas while my gar eats it by the gallon. My parents didn't really taken kindly that i got the SC either. They actually wanted to get me a honda (this is my first car) haha. It's either sell it and get a dc2/s13/s14, or put up with the sc. I'm so confused :x

You're in HS and you're strapped for cash. Do what you need to do. It's about fulfilling your needs, not your wants so who cares if the SC is nicer. You've got the rest of your life left to get something nicer. Plus insurance might be a cheaper too so it's not just gas. You can drive a Civic hard and it'll still get great gas mileage. Drive an SC hard and you'll see the needle drop right before your eyes.

sell the SC and get something that will help your situation. like the GSteg said, you have the rest of your life to get a SC or something nicer.

So the final decision has been made; I'm not going to sell my SC.
