Question upgrading altinator!?

Is it even possible to find a High Output altinator for the sc400? Im looking for 200 amps or better whereas I am eventually going to be running 5K watts RMS of a sound system Where can I find any high output altinators? or can anyone here modify a oem alt?

Does the kinetik or stinger high peformance batteries fit?

Thanks again everyone @ CL

you wont find them by spelling it like that.

Alternator.

Anyways, go to an alternator shop and have them rewind it. Its a lot cheaper than buying something online or what not.

I'm not a sound system expert, but aren't you suppose to use some sort of capacitor for high output system? If you use your alternator and battery as your main power supply for your high power drawing device, your alternator and battery life will decrease dramatically even if you have the great Optimal battery and a 200 amp alternator.

Check the site below to understand more about alternative ways to supply power to high output device.

Capacitor's are only a band-aid to a problem. The power for your audio system comes from somewhere and it's from your alternator. Once your battery is drained and your capacitor can't recharge from it your screwed basically... and your amps won't get the proper juice they need and in some cases will even turn off. An alternator is the only true way to give your system the juice it needs.
