I should probably specify that the ECU thing is not needed only for OBDI cars or OBDII cars that don't need to pass smog. Just another reason I got a 95 on purpose.

What if I want to convert from w58 to the r154, what parts will I need? Do I just get the tranny and swap it in or is there more to it?

I heard of the OD flashing, reverse lights and NSS, but I didn't know the cruise and seats would stop working....is that on all years? Why have I not heard of this yet?

omit the parts you have from the r154 list, and get everything that is r154 specific.

How long should it take to do a 5 speed conversion on an auto, if I have access to complete 92 5 speed parts car. The parts would be making their new home in a 94 auto SC3. I would like to swap over the entire drivetrain i.e. engine, tranny, driveshaft, rear diff. and ecu. Are there some things that I can exclude to make this job a bit easier, or would I need to swap all the parts to take advantage of the drivetrain?

Starting a shop you say? I've been bugging my friends who are ASE certified to start one up while I try to get my certification. No luck tho. They seem very interested but no passion to actually do it
