My ´97 SC400
Hy!
Today i removed both main converters
both head shields from the manifolds removed, but the shield on the driver side is very difficult to remove out of the car.. any ideas?
The manifold on the passanger side is to 95% removed, only one nut goes not open
The position is the last one in the upper line, near the EGR. VEry stupid place for a nut! any ideas??
Thanks!

Hello!
Today was the day off the headers
My SC waiting of me

Here the bad nut

With a hammer and a chisel have i won!

OEM header removed

OEM header and gasket

IMF Header

studs for EGR from OEM header

its not easy to install on the passenger side. the flange is ok on the engine side, EGR 90% ok but the flange to the downpipe is not perfect position

ok... its not ok for me, to install it correct, i must modify the complete exhaust. On driver side, maybe remove the steering and the engine bushes and more.. not easy on this car! i installed the oem parts back and i sell the headers, too much for me, and i have not a professional garage to do all this.
But, i changed the sway bar bushings on front

look around
Oil pressure switch

many things

exhaust

header driver side

After the exhaust complete installed, i beginn to install the Rear Supra Sway Bar with PU Bushes
original mounting point

test

bruzzelbruzzel B)

painted and fixed

The rear of the car is much stiffer, but not too much, its drive very good, more control for slides

Thanks lulu4545
Today, i recieved a Supra TT front sway bar from Germany
looks not much different to the original SC sway bar

left oem with the bushings, right the Supra TT

To change is not difficult, but i must modify the holder for the steering pipes modify (90° back) to have a little space between the sway bar and the pipes. To the oilfilter is ~1,5cm space, not much.

The first testdrive was good
not so much different like the swap in the rear, but stiffer and the steering is better, more straighter and no contact feel from the sway bar to the oil filter
Next step are whiteline steering rack PU bushings, but the parcel will not come

Yes I know, but sometimes it helps to see something in your native tongue.
Never appreciated that until I lived overseas, but that's a story for another day.
She's looking very nice these days, and I know you must get a grin on the roads being one of only a few Asian cars, and definitely one of a very few SCs.
