The TC is the real killer for our transmissions. I was told that our transmission is the Supra TT auto with a big TC on it. I know for a fact that the car is less lazy when it's being fed more power than stock, the transmission ECU seems to be affected by it.
you could always get a custom bellhousing made for the T56 6-speed manual then market and sell that same bellhousing, i'm sure there's lots of 1uz owners that would be very interested in it
The altered tuning via piggyback ECU has made the car shift alot better;where it was mushy before, the increase in power has made for a "shift kit" like difference. It honestly feels like the shift pressure has been increased.
If I had a spare motor block sitting around,I'd make some forms, and have a bellhousing cast in aluminum.
I have been thinking lately about a swap consisting of two 60degree,four cam V6s linked together, would give around 460 smog-happy hp from 430cid.That setup would sound incredible enough to justify the project.
Someone buy an Audi A6 transmission and mate it to any SC. I am curious as to the results. CVT sounds intruiging.
Even if you bit the bullet and paid a ton of money for it, getting it to mount up would be insanely hard. Plus it would not be able to take anywhere near the torque output of a 1uz. Right now the CVT is only available on front drive Audi cars and the 220hp A4 is the most powerful car to ever have a CVT because they have not yet found a way to make them strong enough for a powerful engine.
I emailed a person from "Down Under". He have fab. bell housing for SC400/GS400/LS400 using Supra 5 speed, T5 TKO/Tremec. If you are interested, please let me know. We can do a group purchase. I would like to get the bell housing for T56 (6 speed).
