Alright so before I get flamed to death, I searched for hours and went through most of the wheel fitment guide to no avail ( I did learn a lot though).
My predicament:
Bought wheels and tires off a friend. Took them to Les Schwab to get them put on, and they said that when they put one front one on, it was rubbing on the bumper. He specified that it was the bumper not the fender and then proceeded to sell me on a whole new set of tires.
18 inch rims
2 tires are 235/50/18
2 tires are 255/50or45/18 (cant remember and they are at the shop)
I'm on stock suspension
Please give me an idea on whether he is bull******** me to buy new tires or if its possible. Sorry for another annoying tire question, but he is expecting me to buy them tomorrow morning so I'm in a pinch. Thanks guys.
Thankls for the quick response. Honestly I didn't even get to see it. They called me up and told me that it was rubbing on the bumper. It just caught me off guard because all this time I had been reading about fender rubbing and I didn't even think about the bumper. The thing is I got the tires (bridgestone potenzas) for a really good deal and if I really do have to buy new ones now, I'm going to have to go for some cheap ones since I wasn't expecting this additional expense.
