GS350 18" OEM Wheels Tire Fitment
This may be a noob question, but I was wondering if there is anyone who has the stock 18" wheel with 245/45/18 tires or possibly even 255/45/18 tires. I want to go with the thicker sidewall to kinda soften the ride, but I want to avoid rubbing issues, whether it'd be from the fender or inner wheel well.
Any advise is appreciated...
The wheels in question are on the car with the picture attached...

yeah everything is stock, except the lighting and tint. I have no suspension mods nor do I plan to put any. the stock tires are 245/40/18. The ones on there now are the Sumitomo HTRZ II.
I thought I could get away with the 245/45/18 for all four tires at the very least.
I really want to do the 245/45/18 for the front and 255/45/18 for the rear.

Rear will be fine for sure, the front rubs in the back of the wheel well into the plastic at about 30 degrees to the left (in left wheel well) or right (in right wheel well).....I run 245 45 18s....had those wheels you had, also my current OEM wheels have same exact specs 18x8 + 45

the reason I ask is because a tire shop I inquired for falken tires said I can even go 275/35/18 on the rear if I wanted to, but insisted I keep the front 245/40/18 because it might rub.
I thought 275 is impossible just like Luoisp_p but apparantly the tire guy said he's installed it on the same car before.
I also thought the wheel width is 8.5?
If Eyekutr has rub issues on the front with the 245/45/18, i might just stay stock. Unless lowering the air pressure from 35 to 32 makes a difference...
I think that the stock wheels are soft enough, but I just want to improve it. Getting 17's will be last resort though lol...
should we move this to the tire section?

from what you've told us so far, i think 17" oem wheel/tire size is what you are looking for. your best bet would be to find someone who wants to trade 18"s for 17"s. i'm sure there are guys out there that would do this swap.
