it is a PITA. I used a hammer, old pry-bar, and beer. I took the hammer and beat the pry-bar into it (through the honeycomb), then moved it violately to break up the honeycomb. Did that for a while and crunk up the car to blow out the broken pieces. Then repeat process until empty.

Afterwards the 2 front cats would have just been easier to take off the car and do it out of the car. (Beer made me not do it). The rear cat i just said screw it and cut it out and replaced the piple.

I've had a problem with the exhaust note. It sounded like an old school muscle car. The culprit was the right hand cat. It was rattling & sounded clogged so the mechanic said instead of buying a new OEM cat, gut it & save the $$$$ until I can buy a new one. Since this was done, the exhaust sounds a lot better. Will this cause any problems in the future other than the fact that I wont pass emissions ?
