Cool Alarmed or not!!!!!!

Just got my 94 SC300 in SoCal, now I"m checking it out to get familiar with my new toy.... It has a factory installed alarm that seems to work.... put a new battery in, flipped the console switch to "on", hit the key button and nothing......... Can anyone help an amature out??????

New battery...you mean in the key? What console switch? My 95 doesn't have a switch on the console, just the key button. Plus the red flashing security light on the dash. You might want to check the contacts inside the key to see if they're clean and actually touching when the button is pressed.

Hey, thanks for that info. I'll have to re-read it when I get in from work this eve, and yeah, since she is a 94, it could be a key contact, I'll keep you posted, thanks again...

On my 94 there is actually an alarm on/off switch, just under the steering column to the left, plus the flashing security light... So I hear there is also a reset button on the alarm receiv er, can't locate that yet.... I hear that you can also reset the alarm, I'll keep looking for the instructions on that one also..... Just want my SC to function as good as she looks!!!!
