Default How to change my shift ****?

Hi all, I just got a new TRD shift ****. It's a screw on. But I don't know how to remove my current 5spd shift ****. I've searched the site but can't find anything.
Can anyone please help?

I have an automatic, so i'm not 100% sure, but wouldn't you just unscrew it off? Maybe pull up , or push down on it while you screw???
