Im actually test driving a friends sc300 in a few days and im still considering buying it but a lot of online reviews give it low scores. Is the car decent in handling and comfort? The car im pickin up got under 60k original mileage and im getting a great deal.. under 5k for it. If anyone has any feedback on a 92 sc300 it would be appreciated.

 

I love my 92. Got it bone stock with 73k original miles, and no major issues yet, and shooting for higher numbers as we speak..

Your asking if a SC300 is a good car in a SC300/400 forum which consists of many enthusiasts that believe their SC is most sexy thing ever. You serious?

JK, I wouldn't lean heavily towards review IMO. Everyone has their own opinions and quite frankly any car can be bad/good.

Get in a car, drive it and if you like, buy it.

 

Truth be told, 92 SC300..."it's always something, but it's always worth it"...don't know who to quote on that but it's accurate IMO.

 

I would say the handling is better than any other car I've driven, but I've never driven a Mercedes, BMW, or any other sports car though. Definitely buy it if it has under 100,000 miles and looks clean.

 

OP, just be sure of the maintenance and that it was done...

 

well ive had my sc for about a month it has 96k now iput about 1300 miles so far its a nice car very nice ride on the stock 15" rims. turns very nice. i had a e36 328i bmw before this car and i deff like my 1993 sc300 5speed way better then my 1998 328i bmw..

 

its my DD for a reason I love it and the q45

 

under 60k mi for under 5k man thats a great deal. The sc is a nice fun car to drive.

 

Only problem I see is that it has to be repainted and the car is an auto which may be hard to resell.
