I see, my mistake. The SC is definitely not worth 15k...maybe 6k...maybe it's worth 15k to you.

hunt718, Off topic, but I see your from NY... LET'S GO RANGERS! and hope you're a NYR fan. Ok back to the topic... I would go to the sticky DIY thread in the Sc forum to see numerous fixes with are vehicle.

Someone on here said something along the lines of "I rather have a higher mileage SC that I know is being used all the time and maintained instead of something that's been sitting around deteriorating for years with low mileage and old fluids".

Mileage isn't everything. Considering all the parts on the car are probably original, and 23 years old. A good majority of them should be replaced just because of age.

If it was garage kept that would be a good buy. But if the paints shot it's most likely been outside it's entire life. It still seems like a good deal, but someone on craigslist was selling a near mint 2000 SC300, Red/Tan interior, complete audio upgrade, 109K for 5 grand. Take a look around, see what you see.

yes that was me many times. low miles are great dont get me wrong just dont expect a 23 year old car with 50k miles to dirve like a 2014 with 50k miles it just doesnt work like that, unless every hosem bushing, seal, and piece of rubber has been replaced. when a car has low mileage it most likey sat for weeks or even months at a time, now i know that some people take their car around the block once a week to prevent the age rot. But trust me back in 1992 or back in the 90's that person wasnt thinkin collector ! They were probably just old and didn't drive it much.

WHen your looking at a car over 15 years old I just dont see the extreme value of low mileage, I think of like my body if i sit around for days at a time and stop excersing how you think i will feel? You think she will be happy with me sitting around ???
