well i have made threads and researched all around for this issue with the sc400...i have already done a tune up and check the coils...but i have one good question ...if i rev up the car steddy to 1900 rpm it cuts back and starts purgin???? i really dnt kno what this is seenin that i have the hesitation issue with my car and noone can answer that either...well any helpfull input thnx

 

Can you be more specific? How does it idle? smooth? or still cutting out? Have you checked your cats or your o2 sensors? Have you cleaned your throttle body lately? It could be a numerous of things, is it throwing any codes or your CEL light on? if so, what are the code(s)?

 

my rpms are steddy juz when i slowly give it gas when in park and reach 1900 it starts to purge up and dwn when i keep it at 1900...i have cleaned my whole intake.and check engine light was read and states code 12 rpm signal...so the idle is smooth

 

clogged catalytic converter? if i spelled that right

 

I have looked at his car, and the way it starts and idles you would think it was brand new..its flawless..but once driving, like he said around 1900rpm, it starts kicking and hesitating..I looked through it as much as possible, but being horribly unfamiliar with the 1UZ, I was kinda lost on any specifics to check.

he was throwing a CEL like he stated, and TRAC light is on IIRC..
