Default Please Help! Oil Lamp Light

i have a 1992 SC300 just did a motor swap (stock 2j) and blocked off EGR. My oil lamp light (the yellow one w/ a wavy line underneath) just went off. i called the dealer and they said that its the 'low oil pressure' indicator, and not to drive it until its fixed. i did an oil and filter change to see if this would help- did not... has anyone experienced this problem? Any suggestions? Im trying to get an OBD I code reader but until that happens can you guys recommend a checklist? Thanks in advance.

**Update!**

I just ran diagnostics on the car got the code (DTC: 21 H02S Front Circuit). I googled it and came across this website:http://www.iequus.com/downloads/manu..._E_14JAN03.pdf.... however the code reader did not say anything about the "low oil pressure light?"

Also has anyone had experience with DTC 21? The description according to the site is: HO2S front circuit, HO2S sensor/ heater or circuit... Im open to any/all suggestions, thanks guys!

Are you leaking any oil on your car? I had this issue on my other car and I had to replace the oil pressure sending unit.

I remember the oil pressure sending unit was a cheap part. You can replace it, but I dont know if that's the fix. If oil level is good and the oil pressure light is still on, then there may be another problem. You're not gonna get any CEL codes from the OBD1 reader

gl with the repair
bump so someone else can chime in

Once i accidently unplugged the wiring harness in the pass kick side panel, and i had the same light come on. Maybe its a wiring issue.

You might have forgotten to plug the harness?

Take it to a shop and have them install a mechanical test gauge to check your oil pressure.....this is not a fix it over the internet kind of problem....
