Default air leaking thru sunroof

Does anyone here have this same problem? Mine is leaking pretty bad espcially driving on the highway. Luckly its only air not water. Is this something I could fix at home or is it a dealer job? Any advise will be appreciated.

Something I just noticed this morning on the way to work. I usually leave it open while driving. Cold this morning. Slight whistle and woosh sound from the sunroof just over my head. Haven't checked it out yet. So no good input. Let us know if you find anything.

Try lubing the seals with a sillicon type lube to condition it. It helps a little, but not a lot. If you look closely, the sunroof tray gets a little dirty, might as well take care of it.

Sunroof alignment may help. There is a TSB on sunroof alignment for LS. I suppose there is one for the SC as well.

The thread I posted should give you a better idea what is causing the sunroof noise. Check if you are getting the same noise level with the sun screen closed and opened.

when i close the sunscreen it does take the noise level down. but I do notice there is more windnoise between when I tilt open and close and OPEN and CLOSE. I get much less noice shen its OPENED and CLOSED. I just wanted to do all that I can to make the car as clean, comfortible, and quiet.

If you check the rubber around the glass on the inside of the glass panel there is a slit going around it near the outer edge. If you get some nylon fishing line of a sufficient diameter and place it in the slit around the entire glass it will cause the rubber to expand very slightly. This stopped my leak and done by a Lexus mechanic. It does require the glass to be removed.
