Default low/high beam headlight restoring

I got tired of seeing that yellowish haze on my lights so i went bought 1500 sand paper.. process was easy i just used water while sanding to keep it from scratching the headlights it took about a minute or two to sand it.. the i used a three step wax from megulers.. the high beams came out a whole lot better than i thought i only did the passenger headlight but it came out with kind of a matte look its not as shiny as it was.. so if you plan on doing this do it on your high beams only unless your low beams are in bad condition

passenger side not done yet big diffrence

the high beam looks alot better

before the restoring

It looks alot better. If you look closely there appears to be a haze on the inside of the bulb. You need to clean that to see alot better, maybe 40% more lighting. You have to take your headlights apart and follow OLT's DIY, for the entire write up. Good job!

Sandpaper does more damage than good. It's a good chance the passenger side was already cleaned at some time in the past.
I agree with you that unless your lights are badly damaged avoid sandpaper.
Always best to start with the least/non abrasive method.
