Default Dropping a Gear in automatic/ Weird AC/Heat issue affecting cruising? Question Added!

I know that when manual users race from a roll they drop a gear in the beginning. On a automatic there is the L, 2, D

Is it safe for the transmission for automatic users to drop a gear while at a roll and throw it back into drive at the proper time?

Have another question didn't want to make another new thread so soon.

When I have my ac/heat on my car feels different. Its a little tougher to break not necessarily hard but stiffer. Also I can cruise my car at 25 without my foot being on the gas

If I hit off it drops my rpms by a tad then they re raise I believe, my breaking is smoother, and ill lose speed normally.

What is this problem I know its not normal.

i take people from 40 rolls. i just pop it into 2nd and once im near the redline, pop it into D with overdrive off. then once i get up to a highhher speed turn off over drive.

i dont really care about my transmission, because i plan on swapping it out *this is my 2nd auto tranny* and going r154

Here's Why:

Not only is an auto tranny NOT MEANT to be shifted, but USDM SC300/400 auto trannys are not that great to begin with. For regular daily driving, they're fine. But they do not have racing torque converters nor great clutch packs to be taking abuse.

Save yourselves the time/headache; either do a manual converseion, or buy a Manual car.

just because its a gated shifter dont mean shyt. its still an auto and still prone to the same damages as a non-gated auto shifter

actually, no, thats incorrect. Don't give out wrong information if you don't know what you're talking about.

to the OP; a couple hundred, or, a thousand miles later you trans may still start slipping. In which case, Lucas is your friend.

theres not much you can see by taking the oil pan out. you could always replace the tranny filter though!
