Default engine swap.

I have a 92 sc400 and i want to take my v8 out and put the twin turbo 1jz engine in. but i need to know every thing i would need to do the complete engine swap.

I also want to know pros and cons on the engine. I'm only doing the 1jz swap because my friend is doing the 2jz swap in his sc400 and my other friend is doing the 4.7 tundra engine.

that link is the key to all the information, resources, pictures, tutorials and answers to any question you could possibly have.

And to answer your second question about pros/cons:

Pros:
1. inexpensive
2. Direct drop in (Well at least for my sc3)
3. Reliable
4. You will have a TT engine
5. Fun to Drive (night and day from stock NA 2j)

Cons:

The search function is your friend man. Pretty much everything has been done before on here. I was going to do the 2jz swap in my 400 as well. But after some research on here and on Lextreme I decided to keep the 1UZFE and go with FI. PM me and we can chat, I am always looking for local Lexus guys to meet up with or something.

If thats the case, then I would'nt be surprised if these posts contribute to at least half your count.

I think the poster whose question you are asking is being sarcastic. Also, for future reference, vvt-i stands for variable valve timing with intelligence.
