92 sc400 Trac and check engine light on. I just replaced ECU after having problem w/MAF changed 3 would not generate a fault code even when car ran bad. Car now runs great obviously new ECU recognized good maf and reading diagnostics. Generates a code 71 now. checked egr,vsv, and modulator,hoses all appear to operate fine. Car runs smooth no problems. Tried resetting 30amp fuse, neg bat...lights wont go away...could there be another problem? Also, purchased ECU from california, I live in Chicago could there be a difference in reading emmissions? 92 does not have temp sensor...any help would be appreciated

 

Kinda answered my own question. I just put my old ECU back and no code 71 or check/trac light. Emissions definitely differnt.
However if anyone can shed some light on how to defeat code on sc400 without temp sensor would be of great help, as the new unit seems to work a little better.
