Default Injen intake for SC300??

Hey,

Did you guys know that Injen makes an intake for our SC300s?

I thought no one made an intake for our cars?

Check out:

http://www.injen.com/testing.html

for the dyno sheet (looks pretty impressive),

http://www.injen.com/toyota.html

for the listing of 92-98 GS/SC300.

Anyways, for $280, it looks pretty good.

Maybe we should contact them for a group buy or more info?

the injen is priced at $280 on their site, but its $225 i think at nopi. i've always been saving up to get the injen intake but something else comes up that i need to buy and i never get a chance to buy it. if there is a group buy that can be cheaper than nopi, then i'd be interested in joining.

they are 225 also at www.groupbuycenter.com they have many parts there for cheap, and i dont think that you need to have many people buy at once. i think those are extras that people have to sell. im not sure how that site works, but i have checked it out a few times. anyways, if we are buying keep me posted.

I just got some extra cash and am thinking about getting the injen intake from NOPIonline. Has anyone ever installed one of these guys? Do you guys think its worth the 225 dollars?

Looking at the pictures it looks like you would need a MAF adapter like the ones import toys sells .. Just my .02 . They say my intake is different because it is a 97 ..92-96 is the same why mine is different I will never know ..

Are there any pic's of this intake anywhere of it installed on the sc300. 280 seems way to much if you need a MAF adapter. I want to see how deep it extends into the engine bay. I am in as soon as i see some pics.

I just emailed Injen and asked for some pics. Why do you think u would still the need the MAF adaptor? The picture of it at NOPIonline looks like the filter is connected directly to the piping.

Correct the picture makes it look like you just put the filter with the piping but where does the MAF sensor go. Mine is square which is why I was saying I would still need an adapter.

Yea I see what you mean, I forgot the purpose of the MAF for a second there. I sure hope you don't have to buy an adaptor because thats just ridiculous. The whole point of an intake "system" is that the kit has everything you need.

The kit may work for a 92-96 but not a 97+ because the MAF and intake is different . Why I don't know why ..

Any pics of the system installed on an GS/SC300? Is it just a heat shield or a cold-air box? My intake is cold-air ram-induction for under $120.

Will the MAF adaptor and filter from importtoys work with a 97+ sc300?

Heres the link for the pic of SRT intake for GS300, should be the same fit for SC300, so u can use ur imagination and think the GS as an SC with an Injen intake. I think the polished Injen intake would look really nice tho.http://store5.yimg.com/I/supra_1681_12623444
