Default longer??

Could you get a longer one, and make the filter go down to where the holes/gaps/spaces are on the bumper ie. the hole right by the foglamps/cornering lamps, or remove the foglamps/cornering lamps and put it there?

yeah, really. There would be no point in getting one if it dosent extend further down. My K&N goes deeper than that one. Is there any difference between stock and the ingen "tubing" of the intake? Seems to me, just a filter and a MAF adapter will do the same for a fraction of the price. Feel free to correct me if i am wrong.

If you run the filter all the way down there, you catch a lot of mud, dirt, dust, leaves, rain water, bugs etc. You'd have to clean or replace the filter every 1000 miles or so depending on your location. On top of that, you'd probably still suck a lot of crap into your intake manifold which is bad, bad news. That little space where the brake vent is eliminates a lot of that junk before air reaches the filter. You could always guide the air to the filter with a very very simple mod involving a piece of sheet aluminum folded up into an air scoop and attached to the bottom of one of those vent openings.

Also the more plumbing you use with those aluminum pipes, the less CFM of air-flow you get in the end. Same with extra bends in the piping as well.

Default comes with MAF adaptor

I called up Injen today and talked to a guy in the tech dept. He said that the intake system comes with a MAF adaptor, two vacuum hoses, a heatshield, a 3 inch filter, some clamps, and the piping is one single piece.

The guy said heatshield. So I think it's safe to assume that you won't be getting a cold air box with it.

Sounds good from that description....

I'd still like to see a picture of it on an SC before purchasing though, does Injen have any available?

I'm pretty sure they're located in Southern California, I'd be willing to stop by and check it out and take some pictures, if they'd be up for that...

Yea they're in Irvine. Give them a call and see what they can do for you. If you snap some pics upload them here so we can all see them. I'm pretty sure I'm going to purchase it but some pictures would give me some peace of mind.

Also, tonight I was looking at the stock intake pipe and airbox. There seems to be some wiring from the engine to this portion of the pipe. When I remove the pipe to replace it with the injen one what do I do with the wires. It seems a little odd to just have them dangling there without any proper connections.
