dude i tried sanding my tails VHT off and literally NOTHING happened, and i was rubbing for a good 5 to 10 minutes before i took it to a shop which just whipped it off with a clothe soaked in paint thinner. im confused as to why it isnt working

what grit sandpaper where you using?

i think i started with 1200grit to be safe that i didnt scratch up highly sought after '97 tails.

hmmm...2000 grit (WET) removed VHT from mine... maybe its cause mine hasn't been on long enough yet? also, i only removed it from the amber side markers not the tails like you. can i ask why you wanna take your tint off?

Well i took it off because "GOOF!" spilled onto the left tail tail light and it looked gross, so got frustrated and just removed it all.

aww man. yeah i would want my tails looking prestine too especially if they were 97's. you said the shop whiped it all off right? how do they look now? it could possibly have been that it wasn't the right type of sandpaper...its got to be wet style paper. who knows though thats confusing. i guess a thicker grit would have done the trick but scuffed it all up in the process
