Default Audio problem, help me .. step by step

Okay, Stock 92 sc400 with pioneer system..

audio\video section in my experience is kind of slow at responding, only because SC4/3 has much more traffic.

So, it rained yesterday , and last night. Yesterday, during the day, as im driving home, i hear the speakers die out slowly, then come back on slowly. This happened like 4 or 5 times during a 10 minute drive.

Then this morning I turn on the car, no sound comes from the speakers. I hook up my ipod and blast the ipod's volume, and the cars and its almost as if the system was off.

I looked at the AMP in the back [no experience at anything] and I didn't see any water in that area or any looks of water... What's wrong and what should I check?

under the rear seat there is a connection, orange i think, that often has issues with getting wet.
