Default Wheel Adapter & SC460 Rims

I've acquired a pair of LS460 rims that have a different bolt pattern than my SC300. I'm toying with the idea of getting an adapter to make them fit, but my discount tire guy says that the wheel will fall off and roll past me on the highway. Have any of you had experience with adapters?

I run 30mm and 25mm spacers on my car going on 2 years no with out a single problem. Wheel adapters are pretty much the same thing just the change the bolt pattern for the car.

If i didnt have so much invested in these damn spacers now I'd buy some adapters cause there are some sick mercedes wheels i'd like to run on my car

Well, Lexus does now. This is the first year they've bumped up.
Thx for the reply, I'll ask that guy about it. I figure if I can't sell the 460 rims within a month, I'll just find some 18's that fit naturally. I saw an adapter online that's 1" thick for about $44 ea, so it'll be around $200+ to get it done.

+1

I run Ichiba wheel adapters which let me run 5x114.3 JDM rims on my E90 330. They are 15mm wide so they infact act like spacers. Just make sure they're hubcentric and the rims you wanna use are compatible with the spacers.

The wheel adapter that you're using (minimum 15mm) should fit perfectly onto the hub of your car without any play. Most wheel adapters from the reputable companies ie H&R, Eibach, Ichiba should be hubcentric anyway so you don't have nothing to worry about.
