just picked up 95 sc 400 w/1jz gte bone stock.what needs to be adressed first ,fuel pump, injectors, or cams springs and retainers.75,000 mile motor compression check and is very good.going to spray motor w/100 shot. any info would be great thanks.

what to do first.do i do a cams upgrade or fuel pump and injectors.i do my own work been racing a 9sec buick gn for twenty years the first thing we do is upgrade the fuel system dont know how much boost a stock fuel system can handle.

 

MAINTENANCE!! even though its a low mileage car, you want to be sure that all the vitals are on point...but driving a 9 sec GN I'm sure you know that...BFI, Exhaust, Suspension.

 

intake, Intercooler, exhaust and a few other things, I gained about 60HP alone just by switching out the stock exhaust to an aftermarket one.

 

If you plan on beefing up the motor
i suggest you get the suspension, drivetrain beefed up in preparation to handle that power

 

downpipe, exhaust, upgrade to a single, injectors fuel pump, ems, front mount...

i would skip the nitrous... just get an ecu and a tune and turn up the boost
