I wouldnt suggest it either... Rent a truck and do it safely.. Just my two cents... Man you have a SC and a NSX, you must be an officer :-)

im not an officer just deployment money and a loan on the NSX but the SC was cash, its just me being lame and saving money instead of partying. yeah i figure the car thing probaly wount't work but i think under a thousand pounds of furinture would. I dont have the money to buy a diesiel truck right now because i'm buying turbo parts for the NSX. but i probaly will get a truck evently for the snow and towing.

Being cheap will usually end up biting you in the a$$, since you have an NSX you need to tow it would make sense to sell the SC and buy a truck for a daily.

'never bite off more then you can chew'
cept when ya do, you can spit it out....doesnt always work out the same way w underrated cars and big trailers, a screw up could mean some to lots of cash or your life or more depending if you hit somebody. this is coming from a landscaper that deals with heavy weight all the time, NEVER exceed the max rating, it is SCARY as all hell...did it once by accident and overfilled my ranger, ended up bending the rear leaf springs, cracking another and had some crazy cut me off on the interstate. i felt like i had no brakes - much less handling. in the end, lesson learned, ill take the extra 20 min to unload/reload to the right weight, its not worth the risk.

fyi, im talking heavy *** rock in the bed, not a trailer with a nsx....can only imagine how much worse that could be =P

I've towed all sorts of stuff with my sc400. I've towed a motorcycle in a trailor, I've towed an 1uz engine/trans throught he rockies at 11.5K feet, I've towed small cars flat and on tow dollies, but I think a full car trailor and an NSX would be a bit much unless it was short distances on flat grades.

It's the hills and incliment weather that end up calling you out.

And in the end the tongue weight ends up being the krux. Like too much tongue weight and the rear suspension is bottomed out all the time. Not enough and the trailor gets really twitchy on the highway.

So what is the towing capacity? I don't see it anywhere on here. I'm just curious about my SC400
