Default Tools and stuff in your trunk?

Since I upgraded my head unit, one of the things I also did was to gut the CD-changer and use it as a compartment for holding the OEM first aid kit, some shop rags, and lugnut adaptors. Then I thought about it - my car has those foam pieces under the trunk floor, around the spare, with little compartments and what not. So that got me thinking, does anyone use these? I have a set of jumper cables and the OEM tool kit, but I was contemplating on adding some more tools or emergency things (flares, drive belt) just in case something happens on road trips. So my question here is, any of you guys have extra tools and stuff in your trunk that you don't leave the house with? My uncle was known to bring a full set of tools and stuff for practically any roadside job - but his kit was in an actual bag!

Yeah I always keep a full socket set with some grips, multi head screwdriver and some electrical tape. They've saved me and my friends more than once that's for sure.

I would carry them, you never know when you could use something... The old motto is: I would rather have something and not need it, then need something and not have it! Make room for a weapon of some sort!

I was stupid, I threw away my cd changer because it was pissing me off so bad, that's why I got the nav unit....but I regretted it because there's an empty space there now. I need to come up with something cool to put there.

Not hard to gut it out... just make sure you have a small tip Phillips for the insides

Just remembered why I don't visit Texas, lol.

Ya, I keep my jumpers in there, and the rest of my tools just float freely around the trunk, Socket set, screwdrivers, and a few other basics.

Thanks for the idea, now I'll be stuck on figuring out how to mod this space to fit my tools.
